Dean is a community leader and fundraising professional known for building strong relationships and supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference.
With a career spanning education, municipal government, and the nonprofit sector, Dean brings a practical, collaborative approach to strengthening organizations and growing community support. He began his career in education, teaching at both university and elementary school levels. This experience shaped his commitment to learning, growth, and community impact.
At the Saskatoon YMCA, including in his role as CEO, Dean led the team in building a more sustainable future for the organization. He contributed to a successful centre expansion, expanded childcare and family resource programs, strengthened partnerships, and advanced marketing and fund development strategies. His work supported capital campaigns, annual giving, and legacy giving initiatives, helping to increase both impact and long-term support.
In municipal government, Dean worked closely with city teams, community organizations, and elected officials on facility development, program planning, and broader community initiatives, including open space planning and emergency management.
Dean brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to his work, with a focus on aligning community priorities with philanthropic investment.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and staying connected with his family and community through volunteer involvement.
